PESHAWAR: Chinese and Pakistani authorities have
set up a Cultural Communication Centre (CCC) under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project to promote educational and cultural programmes between the two countries.

an MoU in this regard during a visit to Suzhou Vocational Univ
ersity in China for cooperation in cross-border education exchange. The MoU was signed between Suzhou Vocational Univ
ersity and the Education Department of Gilgit-Baltistan. “The Cultural Communication Centre has been jointly established by the Suzhou Vocational Univ
ersity, St Xianglin Management and Consulting Company and Gilgit-Baltistan Education Department in Suzhou, China. This is the first communication platform in the field of education and culture between both countries,” stated Echo L
ee, CEO of St Xianglin Management and Consulting Company, while talking to Daily Times. The CPEC CCC is located in Suzhou Vocational Univ
ersity, which has world-class facilities and able faculty, she added. The functions of CPEC CCC are: Sino-Pak students exchange, academic research and seminars, vocational education, organising Chinese culture experience camp and teachers exchange. The centre will serve as the mai
n forum in the field of Sino-Pak education and cultural communication.
“The Centre will provide at least 100 Pakistani students training and education in China and later jobs to them. It will also offer them free tuition during their entire study period,” Echo said.
