PESHAWAR: Following the tragic Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane crash on Wednesday, which took the lives of the 47 passengers on board; PIA has announced a compensati
on amount for t
he victims’ families.
On the directions of PIA chairman and CEO, an amount of Rs 500,000 would be given to the next of kin of all the 47 people who lost their lives in the tragic ATR crash, to meet funeral expenses.
District managers have been directed to personally visit the families of the deceased and hand over the amoun
t in cash.
This will be follo
wed by a comprehensive compensatio
n package as per law.
